1888.12.21 Courthouse Carpeting

As found in the December 22nd 1888 Humboldt Daily Standard.

“In the matter of awarding the contract for carpeting the new court house: It appearing to the Board that Warren Jones was the lowest bidder, it is ordered that the contract be awarded to him in accordance with the terms of his bid, now on file in the office of this Board, upon his filing a good and sufficient bond in the sum of $1,000, and the Chairman of the Board is directed to enter into a contract with Warren Jones, and he is authorized under said contract to substitute canvass binding at 7 1/2 cents per yard in place of rubber binding wherever it may be advisable.”
