Wednesday January 2nd 1889: Having recently returned from a train ride to Japan, dressed in the clothes of a man as is her habit, Wilma Mack climbs the flagpole on the Arcata Plaza and falls into a deep state of meditation. She sees the future statue of her being erected in the same location seventeen years later. She smiles.
